We know yesterday there were some bad flareups but we do not see anything like that it means that authorities are taking no chances, making sure everything has calmed down and is contained. We know that cal osha is involved with the investigation and will be on site. We reached out for details and are waiting to hear back. Investigators have not said yet how the explosion at nustar Petroleum Storage facility selby teinoctt started but its something the out. This happened tuesday afternoon. Video shows the explosion and intense flames at the facility. Two tanks containing ethanol and jet fuel were destroyed by the fire while two others were damaged but still functional. Last night nustar set all operations and shipments of products in and out of the facility are stopped for now. One of the tanks had 167,000 gallons of the chemical. That amount of liquid wood fill up seven average sized swimming pools. The fire was so close to i80 it was shut down in both directions for hours. It reopened last night but cummings skyway between san pablo avenue and i80 is still closed. One of many tasks moving forward is making sure the tanks are safe to store fuel. Asked this goes on and engineers and other specialists are brought in, we will, they will look to move fuel around, opening up valves and such and to try to mitigate any further hazards. Reporter in a statemt last night nustar corporate said , quote, there are two impacted tanks which were holding low volumes of ethanol, less than 1 of tank capacity. Today three survivors of childhood sexual abuse by a priest will announce a lawsuit against the Catholic Diocese of oakland. Three women are accusing monsignor Vincent Breen of sexually abusing them when they were teenagers in the 70s and 60s. They said the diocese of oakland did not report the sexual abuse to Law Enforcement or child protective services. This is one of the first losses to be filed under a new state law that gives child sex Abuse Victims three years to sue those who committed and then concealed abuse. Police in hillsburg are investigating after a jogger said she was sexually assaulted over the weekend sunday night on grove street. The Transit Authority board will have the latest on the construction project for the southbound express lane project during a meeting tonight. Express lane is extended from martinez to walnut creek. The project should cost 107 million and is set to be finished by late 2020. Right now there are nearly 90 miles of express lanes across the area. Officials said they have to add another 125 miles by 2035. Parts of Market Street in downtown San Francisco may soon be carfree. The board of the sfmta approved the plan to redesign Market Street called the better market stret project and it would ban all private vehicles and that includes rogers like uber and lyft on Market Street between octavia andy barkett area. Only bikes, pedestrians, mass transit and taxis will be allowed on that two mile stretch of Market Street. The project came as a way to reduce the number of people who have been hurt or killed on Market Street every year. Its time for a carfree market. We see over 100 pedestrian and bike injuries a year on Market Street. The project includes other improvements including wider sidewalks, trees and more lighting. Street improvements on Market Street are due to begin as soon as january. City Officials Say they do not believe traffic will be dramatically affected by closing off that part of Market Street.
