Police call logs released to ktvu confirmed orindas only two patrol officers were in oakland helping Lafayette Police investigate a Home Invasion robbery. The shooting happened just before 11 00 halloween night at a party hosted at an airbnb rental home. According to the police logs two calls came in about a loud party before the shooting. Police didnt get to the scene until 10 minutes after the shooting. So far no arrests have been made. Police in san jose are giving out new information about a deadly officerinvolved shooting. On southbound i85 north of winchester saturday afternoon. Police chief eddie garcia says the police have been looking for the 29yearold felon since an incident back in october and say the same man backed a car into a patrol car and led police on a chase. Then on saturday, police say the suspect was a passenger in a car that police had pulled over. The driver, the suspects father followed the officers orders to get out of the car, but his son did not. As one of the officers reached into the car to pull the suspect out, the ofts observed the suspect turn and reach towards his waistband. The suspect pulled a gun from his waistband and raised it in the direction of the officer. Police say while one officer was struggling with the suspect, a second officer fired at the suspect and hit him at least once. The suspect died at the scene. We still have not heard the name of that suspect. Survivors of the deadly gilroy garlic festival shooting are now taking legal action. 5 people shot at the popular festival back in july. Theyre claiming organizers did not do enough to protect them. The gunman avoided metal detectors by cutting through a fence. The victims Attorney Says the organizers should of had better fencing and made sure the entire venue was surrounded with guards. Was under the impression that all things were safe and under control.
