It looks like we have more developing here closer to woodside, right around Half Moon Bay, redwood city, right around san mateo. The bridge could have a bit of wet pavement out there of course without rain call coming on board closer to the foster city area. Temperatures a bit of a cool start out there. There was a scare and mccaskill today after a registered sex offender was arrested after an incident on campus. At about 7 15 am, police got a call about an unwanted person walking on campus talking to students, that man has been identified by investigators as 39yearold, willie jones. Is a registered sex offender. Lycie at least two people reported they were inappropriately touched by jones and that led to a brief lockdown of the campus. He was bothering a student there, that was under age. Inappropriately touched the student and the student kind of pushed him away. And then he kind of started walking away. The superintendent released a statement saying in part, the safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. The district says it is working closely with the 2 students involved. Lycie their investigation continues. A driver is in jail on charges of arranging to have sex with a minor. Authorities a 50yearold, Kevin Donovan snyder, contacted a Police Officer posing as a 13 yearold boy on a dating app last week. Investigators say he sent the officer sexually explicit images and mentioned that he worked for a rideshare and could pick the teenager up to avoid suspicion. When they met on monday and campbell, snyder was taken into custody. A Police Department is releasing new video that shows the attack on 2 Police Officers by a man just moments before this officer shot and injured him. There was a meeting where that video was played for the very first time and as we report, they say the shooting violates the apartment policies on deescalation. Reporter and officers body camera captures his shots fired, at a suspect who was dodging around refusing to surrender. The man is struck and goes down, but the gunfire continues. Which riled this crowd, filling a School Auditorium in the mission district. The police chief and command staff, listening. You have guns and you shot him over and over again reporter 24yearold, hampton survived the wounds and remains hospitalized. The chief told the crowd multiple reviews are underway. He displayed photos of officer injuries, head and face lacerations and abrasions, from being struck by a grey goose vodka bottle, wielded by hampton, before the shooting. Video from a drugstore shows the officers pull over to talk to hampton, but he immediately goes to the open passenger door, beating the cop with the bottle. Public Health Officials say 2 people have died from the flu. One case was reported last month and Officials Say there has been another flu related death this month. Across the city at least 24 people have died from the flu in creating including three children. Health officials are reminding everyone it is still not too late to get a flu shot. A federal bankruptcy judge has approved to settlements and claims against pg e for california wildfires. The judge in San Francisco approved 11 billion for Insurance Companies that have paid claims to fire victims. A separate settlement of 13 1 2 billion dollars is designated to compensate wild fire victims. The judge also ruled governor gavin does not have to approve the deal for the utility to emerge from bankruptcy. Pg e must still convince the governor, they should be allowed to receive money from the new state fund, that can help protect utilities. A future wildfires are caused by outdated transmission lines. The Salvation Army says it is trying to help family in a city with a homeless crisis. When people are faced with figuring out are they going to pay for the rent or are they going to pay for toys for their kids, they pay for the rent. And their kids go without so we want to help make up that difference. We are doing the best we can. It is difficult. This year has been difficult for donations. And we have been able to pull through. Not too far from hilltop mall. The tree blocked one lane of bloom drive and crews worked to clear it from the roadway. The weather was a factor in several accidents across the bay area. In oakland one person is dead after a spin out happened on 580 and that caused multiple cars to crash. This was a scene at around 4 am near lakeshore, the chp says a car spun out and blocked 2 lanes and a pickup truck hit the car, both drivers got out of their vehicles, the pickup driver was hit and killed. The san jose Police Department is facing a federal lawsuit after an officer was accused of using his patrol vehicle to run down a man on a bike. Gabriel gonzalez was riding his bike near koerner avenue last week, when he says officer david pulled alongside him and started screaming and cursing. The officer says he told gonzales to pull over but he refused to comply with his orders. Rosales says he moved onto the sidewalk, and rode the other way to get away from the officer but according to the claim the officer drove onto the sidewalk, and hit him head on. He showed us cuts and bruises on his head when he was attacked sunday. He says he was wearing a turban and sitting in his taxi when a man approached him three different times, he says the third time, the attacker hit him with a barbecue lit. The attacker then choked him, who was able to break free and call for help. s family says a surveillance camera shows a man lurking in the area just before the attack, no arrests have been made. While the raiders plan to pack up and head to Las Vegas Next year, taxpayers in oakland and Alameda County are on the hook for massive payments on the colosseum. The city and county agreed to enter stadium renovations when the raiders were lured back from los angeles in 1995. They report that they could end up taking on a quarter of 1 billion in debt. 65 million is left out there right now, but when you factor in some additional fees, 75 million when the last payment is made in 2025. The interim colosseum chief says besides this debt, the stadium operates also on an 8 million loss each year, even with the as playing there. Right back to the weather. Despite the hardships, the 2 students have managed to make the honor roll and they are both performing in the Upcoming School musical. The students are meeting. They show up to school every day. They work hard. I pray for them both, because they continue to keep fighting.
