That meeting is set to start in just a couple of hours at this building here. This as neighbors grow increasingly frustrated with the issues associated with this growing encampment. And now residents feel Sonoma County officials have been slow to respond about concerns about the trail. The encampment has swelled to roughly 200 people there, tent after tent lining the trail and with it increasing dangers for fires. In the last month we responded to approximately 25 calls. In the last week or so its been about an incident a day. I sleep on the couch at night to make sure its no fires going on. Reporter well, monday night, a fire in the camp cause adpropane camp to explode. One neighbor said it sounded like a bomb had went off. Thankfully no one was hurt. Another neighbor got a dog to guard his home after his car was broken into. They had installed a fence, but part was cut down the next day. It does provide regular trash pickup and security at night. That meeting with the county is set to start at 8, and set to go until 4 00 in the afternoon. And then theres a plan for later on this month that will address a plan thats already in place here in the city. The first of its kind to stop racial profiling shows that African Americans filed for 15 of all stops but only make up about 7 of the population. And she was in serious condition, and our firefighters loaded her into the ambulance. And she was taken to the hospital.
