Tesla ignored its recommendation about a year before this crash to take precautions to prevent drivers from inappropriately using the Driver Assist feature. We issued two recommendations to six automobile manufacturers. Of the six, five of those manufacturers have responded favorably, stating that they are working to implement that recommendation. Hundreds of officers, staff, and retirees all lined up to say goodbye to former police chief Anne Kirkpatrick, who was abruptly fired last week. Harris says kirkpatrick assumed she wanted her towing fees waived, and was disrespected. Harris has not responded to our request for comment. An 18yearold was arrested for a bizarre rampage through the streets of San Francisco. Police say he drove erratically, hit pedestrians with his car, and then intentionally crashed into a Police Patrol vehicle. More now on what happened. The San FranciscoPolice Department says astorko and an 18yearold woman were yelling and threatening people around haightashbury, mainly the homeless. She hit two homeless men, a man in his 30s is being treated for life threatening injuries, while a man in his 20s has nonlifethreatening injuries. There was a car backing into the group of people. Reporter officers then got a accept separate call about gunshots. Its later said there were no shots fired, but officers saw the same white suv. They saw a car coming toward them at a high rate of speed. The officers attempted to get out of the way, but the car accelerated and contacted their patrol car. Reporter the officers werent hurt. The teenager from patterson was laker booked on multiple charges, including attempted homicide, battery on a peace officer and dui. The 18yearold woman with him was detained, and released pending further investigation. It was a chaotic scene that had some in the neighborhood on edge.
