We do have appointment strategies that position officers at the entryway to the stations. If you do not have a Face Covering is a quick conversation and we will try to work with you. Do you have a sweatshirt or a jacket you can wrap around your face. The last thing we want to do is turn essential workers away. And we know that county Health Orders require that you have a Face Covering and then basically, when you are in the public, you need to have a Face Covering. If you dont have one, we are working to get some to head out to you. We will have to ask you to leave though if you have nothing else and get a Face Covering and then come back. Is there any type of mask that is required . You mentioned an old sweatshirt. That brings up a problem though. If it is a sweatshirt and you put it up temporarily, you might take it down on the train. How will you prevent people from doing that this is mandated by county Health Orders. It lays out that you need to have your mouth and nose covered. Even the mayor, when she had a press conference, she was pretty clear. It does not have to be a mask as we think about. Those surgical masks are for healthcare workers. We dont want a big run on those. But you do need to have your mouth and nose covered and keep it covered. We are willing to be creative. We dont want to turn anyone away or create confrontational scenarios on trains and at the stations. Tie something around your face and keep it there while on the train and we will help keep everybody safe. I saw a video of workers at a train station in spain handing out masks to everyone who needed one. You think that b. A. R. T. Will get there . We want to get there. We have 300,000 masks. Some of them are the n95. We want to make sure that our employees have enough masks so that they can cycle through them. In some jobs you have to throw one away like after you decontaminate a train for example. Officers might be carrying extras eventually and then we can give them away but, the material to make them is a hot commodity. We have ordered hundreds of thousands of them and right now we are just waiting for them to arrive. So you dont want b. A. R. T. Passengers to try to enforce this. That is right. We have a welcoming environment. If you see somebody that does not have a mask or Face Covering, go to the officer at the platform will go to another car. We dont want to create situations. Thank you, for joining us. Starting today much of the a area will be enforcing mandatory facemask requirements. The counties are San Francisco, san mateo, contra costa, alameda and marin counties. A similar effect took place in Sonoma County last week. Enforcement was delayed until today to give people time to find or make a facemask.
