I have heard and read so many similar stories today. This really hits close to home for so many. There are some days you do not forgive. Thursday is one of them. He is a dreamer living in san francisco. The 2 had a heartfelt conversation. A weight lifted off your shoulders. Just to hear the sound in her voice. Relieved i would be here longer. He says his mom has worried about his legal status. He was born in mexico and brought to san diego. They allowed him to graduate from uc davis with a degree in political science. He now works with the foundation. Were here advocating for the rights of workers and immigrants. The nonprofit Justice Organization spoke to us from santa cruz about his experience as a dreamer. It has been a amazing program. It was always a bandaid solution. We were living our lives two years at a time. You had to renew every two years. With this decision it kind of takes it off a bit. It gives us a sigh of relief. Dreamers are enjoying the victory but the fight continues for congress to pass a permanent solution. For them home is and has always been here. We have to continue fighting the rights of undocumented workers. On that note, both, they want to see protections for the 11 million undocumented immigrants. Many of whom are putting their lives at risk as frontline workers. Joined us now is a professor from uc hastings law school. Was specifically does this ruling mean. What exactly did they say . It has failed for now and were really back to square one with the Obama Administration implemented the program. The administration can try to change it. They have to do it in the right way. That would include giving a proper set of reasons for why they want to change it. In particular, the Administration Needs to focus on the reliance interest. The fact you have the streamers that have been in this program and that is something that needs to be carefully looked at in the event the administration wanted to try to resend the program again. What does this mean for them . Does it essentially give them a break for now . The person saying this gives us a little bit of time. Yet there are still questions about the future. If you want to be reelected, he certainly would have plenty time to make drastic changes. Plus there is a roadmap as to how to do that properly. Conservatives argued there is a double standard. Police officers arrest suspects in a Home Invasion that escalated. There is three suspects. They break into a residence. All of a sudden you have to deal with that horrific situation.
