Good morning and thank you for having me on. Lets focus on the amateurs, those people you really worry about, those people who are setting off fireworks. Talk about them. Sure. The stance has been consistent through the years is we leave it to the professionals. Consumer fireworks are never safe. People have convinced themselves that it wont hurt anything. It is unfortunate because this is the day of the year we see a lot of emergency room visits. And a lot of wildfires that start. Brush, grass on forest fires on july 4, the statistics show that Fire Departments are called to those kinds of fires more than five times the daily average on the fourth of july. Theres something you really can control. Theyre not safe to use, regardless of what the advertising might tell you. In the bay area, weve had a rash of illegal fireworks and people setting off fireworks, day and night. Floods of calls about it. Have you heard about that . Absolutely. That is unfortunately a result of the fact that people are cooped up and dont have normal entertainments for themselves. It is really frustrating. Not only from a safety aspect, from fire and injury. But, what you may do to cause your neighbors undue harm in terms of you think about veterans in your neighborhood who may be suffering with ptsd, and those lab rooms dont help. Theyre not helping young children. They are not helping our beloved for kids, our pets are very frightened when this kind of stuff is going on. It is unfortunate and it is something people should be thinking. Think about the consequences of what theyre doing. Talk about the three things we can do to prove correct our homes, our neighborhoods. There are certain things we can do to be proactive. Absolutely. In terms of not using consumer fireworks this season, again, i feel just like everyone else. It is challenging to stay at home and not do the things you may do. But finding some new traditions, entertaining with glow sticks. Having other kinds of entertainments for the family on americas birthday would be wonderful. But also just taking a look around your home, to reduce anything that could ignite, if someone is misusing these fireworks. Just to make sure that there is no flammable leaves, needles, debris, nothing up against the home that could burn. Just doing a little housekeeping were in the house will help. Just being aware of the conditions. The Weather Service will put out a red flag warning. In california, the conditions can turn quickly to hot, dry and windy. The missing piece that we dont know about is what was in the video vaults, the big bolt of videos that the authorities found in epsteins townhouse in manhattan, after his death. Whether that was really true and how much of that the authorities have we still dont know. We have seen, through your reporting, a documentary. We have seen big names such as bill clinton, donald trump, Prince Andrew tied to Jeffrey Epstein. Do you expect maxwell to be a cooperative help to prosecutions . Do you think youll keep it quiet . That is the big question. Her pattern has been very much to hold the information to herself. She is a tough cookie and all the people weve talked to are saying theres no way she will ever diebold what she knows. But facing a lifting prison sentence has a way of changing peoples minds. At this point, who she protecting . Epstein is no longer alive. It remains to be seen, i think we will find out incoming weight. The prosecutor will seek to keep maxwell imprisoning during this period. She will seek help but prosecutors will have an easy time shaanxi is a flight risk. Theyve been tracking her. One of the reasons it has taken so long to bring her in, they been tracking her around the world. Shes been on the move. The idea she would need to get away from prosecutors is a credible one. Quickly, many people say Jeffrey Epstein. Oh is protected by his wealth, his influence and power. Does she have that same protection, now that he is dead, that doesnt exist . Well, that remains to be seen. Those bigname celebrities, they have an interest if they are hilty of abuse in keeping her quiet.
