Once that burns back then itll be walking on the sun forever, so to speak, if you will. Patchy low clouds, cooler lows, sunny for all, nice to mild to warm temperatures, though not much changing here of anything they may cool off a couple of degrees for a few days and then start to warm up. But not a big one as we head to the weekend here. So for us, a quiet pattern, 60s and 70s and 80s as san a have you heard 80 is open breaking news have you heard. Yes, sir. You know, i think some people may be tuning in and not knowing that Somebody Just wakes up and says, is that 80 open for crying out loud . It is. There you go. Thats true. Yes, it is. Open. Now, police described the victim as an innocent bystander, not targeted by the shooters, but caught in the crossfire. A regular bicyclist in the area details what happened. Were a couple of cars like two white lexuses. The guys were hanging out doing those shooting, shooting at each other, you know, point blank range. They went on and on and on for whatever for 10 or 15 seconds. Well since it was a holiday, the lake merritt area was filled. Good samaritans rushed to her to provide aid. These people didnt know that the danger was past, but they were willing to put themselves at risk to help this innocent woman. Neighbors say lake merrittf the citys jewels, but sadly still marred by violence. In fact, late last night, the fireworks and the flames lit up that area as thousands of people were watching. But not all of the attendings were there to see it. Now, after the weekend is muddy conditions. People are finally being allowed to leave the desert. But festival officials were telling people wait until later today because after the big burn, the wait to leave that makeshift city was more than eight hours. Now its about six hours. Still, a lot of time. A line of cars, rvs and trucks trying to get out of there. They have to funnel down to that two lane road and you can see how bad it is. You can even see this from space. And im not joking. Some people say they decided to wait another day or two to leave the roads are drying out. People are moving and packing the best they can and slowly but its happening. Hopefully we will be able to start heading out very soon. And not everybody was as calm and relaxed as that gentleman there about getting out of that muddy area, the Pershing County sheriff told the chronicle there are vehicles abandoned all over the area. Theyre stuck, and a lot of people are abandoning trash and other debris along the roads in the area. Now, investigators also have identified a man who died out there at the burning man festival, but they havent said what caused his death. But weve learned now it happened on friday and doctors and deputies had trouble actually even getting to the man when he was found unresponsive because of the heavy rain and mud. Todays an off day for the 49 ers before they get back to practicing and studying for a game plan. And they play the pittsburgh steelers. But there main pass rusher nick bosa is still a holdup hoping for a new contract reported. He wants about 35 million a year, which would make him the highest paid non quarterback in the nfl. Now having him here is a huge, huge benefit man. I think all 31 teams would agree with that. But right now, man, we just got to focus and you know, whenever he show up, man, we know he going to be who he is. Obviously but right now, man, we just getting ready for pittsburgh. The best way we can for us, we just got to play with who we got. We would love to have bosa obviously. I think thats a no brainer. Best defensive player in the nfl, you know, and it shows for us. We just got to prepare as if hes not going to be here. Now, the nfl network is reporting the 49 ers and nick bosa need a, quote, major breakthrough to get him back on the field. Allpro tight end George Kittle is in jeopardy of missing the regular Season Opener for the second straight season. Hes once again dealing with a groin injury thats limited his workouts. As you come down to los gatos. Northbound 17 down in the hills, theres a crash if that is you trying to get over the hill from santa cruz. Its a long delay driving into los gatos. There have been a couple of different crashes as and dont be caught by surprise. Youre driving in from santa cruz over to los gatos. Its a tough one. 85 is a little slow getting up to highway 17. The rest of the south bay commute looks kind of typical. Bay bridge. Lets go to the east bay. Thats backed up all the way out to the maze. Metering lights are on and in case youre just joining us, well be saying it all morning. 80 westbound has opened after weekend long construction. Everything is as normal. The lanes are open from vallejo into crockett. The 718. Lets bring steve back in with todays weather. Sal quick, quick shout out. You were up in healdsburg on the weekend, right . Yes, sir. We do have a quiet pattern, maybe a little cooler tomorrow than gradual warming into the weekend. 50s on the temps. Stanford menlo park dropped to 51 san anselmo 48. There are a few 40s west of petaluma for a couple of mid 40s. Theyre also in the Santa Cruz Mountains, petaluma itself at 51, but just to the west i did see about 46, 47. I think woodsides right at 50, but atherton, menlo park and stanford all at 51. Los altos 52. We are running a little cooler than 24 hours ago for most, except for napa airport and half moon bay. But livermore is minus seven, santa rosa minus five. We had a much bigger fog bank yesterday, so were under the clear skies. Weve dip into the 40s for a few of a lot of low 50s, 39 South Lake Tahoe, mammoth at 36, truckee at 43. They were all in the 30s yesterday. Theres just a series of these little lows kind of working their way in. Keep us from warming up too much after an unseasonably cool weekend and as you know, there was a lot of rain, thunderstorms up in the mountains, Northern California, not the case now. Looks quiet here for the next 7 to 10 days. Inland temps will begin to bump up. But the pattern, i mean, theres no sign of any extended heat for us or any offshore strong wind events. So thats good. Well celebrate the Small Victories for now. Temperatures 6070s and 80s. It looks nice here for a while. A little cooler maybe tomorrow and the
