Officials say search and arrest warrants were served yesterday in the shooting that happened near pier 39 back on june 18th. At least six people were hurt today. Sfpd says one suspect involved was already in custody. The other two were arrested yesterday, including one juvenile. San francisco da Brooke Jenkins said one suspect, javier pittman, has already been charged. Search warrants were served in four bay area counties as this investigation is not over, we want to bring people in to custody who are wreaking havoc in this city. And i want this message to be clear. You know, i know it took us a few months to do this, but most of the people that we come in contact with, its not just a single crime. Police say officers also seized four assault style rifles and 13 handguns at six different locations. Yang died from his injuries after being shot on october ninth. I like to express my deepest condolences to mr. Yangs surviving family members for the tragedy that theyve experienced. Police say yang struggled with the sergeant and the guards while armed with a knife. One of the 911 callers told dispatch that the vehicle collision was intentional. Inside the civic was this crossbow with arrows. Bystanders ran out of the building through the damaged doorway. Sunnyvale police identifying the shooter as marvin churchill. They say he shot two women monday morning on keremeos drive, killing one of them before turning the gun on himself. Churchills body was found on stephens canyon road in a wooded area while the second victim was taken to the hospital. There is no update on her condition. It happened just before 1 00 this morning at venice and ofarrell, a few blocks north of city hall. Officers responded to find that victim there in the street, the driver of the muni vehicle remained on the scene and is cooperating. Well, a chase involving a stolen car ended in a head on crash on highway 24 in orinda last night. The chp tells us that contra costa sheriffs deputies tried to stop the driver who fled at a high rate of speed. He eventually got on to highway 24, heading westbound in the eastbound lanes at acalanes road. According to the chp, the drivers of both of the vehicles involved in the crash were injured. 35 year old jesus valdez of oakland was then taken into custody on several charges in oakland. Artists and vendors say their efforts to revitalize the community and to do business are all being thwarted by rampant crime. And now theyre asking city leaders for support. Crime is soaring in oakland with overall rates up 26 and Violent Crime up 21 compared to this time last year. Community events meant to bring people together are not always a Family Friendly experience. Artist Jon Sarriugarte says hes been bringing installations to events like first fridays. Pride and parades for decades. I dont feel safe and i dont feel like the city has our back. He volunteered at the autumn lights festival at lake merritt this past weekend. We saw no Police Presence and says he witnessed chaos caught in a sideshow after the event. We were completely surprised.
