People in the gaza strip are waiting for promised aid as it appears that a ground assault is moving closer. Us intelligence is now saying that casualties from a blast in a hospital in gaza city were between 100 and 300 deaths. Activists are changed, chained to the front of the Federal Building, blocking access between mission and market streets. San Francisco Police and federal Law Enforcement are on site. So far, no indication that they will be breaking up that protest. The bay area palestinians and those in the jewish communities are urging california officials to support an israel gaza cease fire in santa clara. The council on American Islamic relations is calling for an end of military aid to israel. The organization is asking elected officials to back the cease fire. Now, resolution introduced in the house of representatives on monday. Activists spoke about how the israelgaza conflict is perpetuating racism here in the bay area, specifically against palestinians. Officials from the Santa Clara County board of education joined them, speaking in their individual capacity. Officials say search and arrest warrants were served yesterday in the shooting that happened near pier 39 back on june 18th. At least six people were hurt today. Sfpd says one suspect involved was already in custody. The other two were arrested yesterday, including one juvenile. San francisco da Brooke Jenkins said one suspect, javier pittman, has already been charged. Search warrants were served in four bay area counties as this investigation is not over, we want to bring people in to custody who are wreaking havoc in this city. And i want this message to be clear. You know, i know it took us a few months to do this, but most of the people that we come in contact with, its not just a single crime. Police say officers also seized four assault style rifles and 13 handguns at six different locations. Is a White Infiniti believed involved was located in oakland shortly afterward engulfed in flames. Chief scott said the investigation is ongoing, including into occupants of a second vehicle that was involved. San Francisco Police released body cam footage of the deadly shooting right inside the chinese consulate earlier this month. Police say yang struggled with the sergeant and the guards while armed with a knife. Police recovered this folding knife with a 3. 5in blade. Video was posted on x show. The blue honda civic that crashed through the front door of the consulate. One of the 911 callers told dispatch that the vehicle collision was intentional. Inside the civic was this crossbow with arrows. Bystanders ran out of the building through the damaged doorway. The shooting is under investigation by sfpd and the das office, as well as the Citys Department of police accountability. Because the shooting happened at the consulate, its considered chinese soil. And so the state department is also monitoring henry lee ktvu fox two news. Well, we have an update tonight on a shooting in sunnyvale that left one woman and the suspect dead. Sunnyvale police identifying the shooter as marvin churchill. They say he shot two women monday morning on keremeos drive, killing one of them before turning the gun on himself. Churchills body was found on stephens canyon road in a wooded area while the second victim was taken to the hospital. There is no update on her condition. Okay, roberta, thank you. Well we are learning more about a deadly crash involving a San Francisco muni bus and a pedestrian. It happened just before 1 00 this morning at venice and ofarrell, a few blocks north of city hall. Officers responded to find that victim there in the street, the driver of the muni vehicle remained on the scene and is cooperating. Well, a chase involving a stolen car ended in a head on crash on highway 24 in orinda last night. The chp tells us that contra costa sheriffs deputies tried to stop the driver who fled at a high rate of speed. He eventually got on to highway 24, heading westbound in the eastbound lanes at acalanes road. According to the chp, the drivers of both of the vehicles involved in the crash were injured. 35 year old jesus valdez of oakland was then taken into custody on several charges in oakland. Artists and vendors say their efforts to revitalize the community and to do business are all being thwarted by rampant crime. And now theyre asking city leaders for support. Pride and parades for decades. I dont feel safe and i dont feel like the city has our back. He volunteered at the autumn lights festival at lake merritt this past weekend.
