You can see this massive crater that is here, just where wawona ends, close to the end of stern grove, right at stern grove park. And if we turn just a little bit to the right, you can actually see the water main sticking up out of the ground that is where the water was coming out of, starting at around 930 this morning. Lets go and show you some video that we have that we took earlier to show you just how muchuwater we are we talkede supervisor for this district, joel engardio. He tells me that around 930 this morning, the resident that is closest to that water main felt a rumble that they describe. Initially they thought was an earthquake. They looked out and saw that geyser out a gigantic crater near thed home. There are crews here in the area assessing the home, assessing the surrounding area. It took crews about an hour to get that water shut off to this location. That water stopped right around 1130. Now, at this time, the citys Public Utilities commission and water and Sewer Department are investigating to see what actually may have been of this water main break. Weve also asked just how big that water main was. Point. But again, you got a sense just from looking at it ie described. We have talkeduarea e saiduwhen they looked out and they saw it, it looked like it was a geyser outside. They said it reminded them of being in napa and actually watching a geyser. Now the San Francisco water, power and sewer, the Public UtilitiesCommission Said that some customers in the area pressure. We have talked with a spcouple of people in the area. Theyve said so far they have not, noticed a change in their water pressure repairs, though theyre saying could take some time simply because of the size of that pipe. Now, we do have crews here who are in the to trr and make sure that they have ample room to move around and do the work that they need to get done as well,utraffic, they say, could have also been impacted. We did not see a lot of big down at the end of a cul de sac that ends right at stern grove expected to be minimal. We have heard that crews are going to be where were standing right now, just to make sure that nobody can getc crater and theres no, injuries as a result of any of this. Officials say United Airlines flight had just landed when it started to veer off the runway and into the grass.
