North Star Athletic Association Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week Macey Kvilvang – Valley City State (N.D.) – 6’5″ – Senior – forward – Cando, N.D. – Kvilvang scored a career-high 28 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for a double-double in Valley City State’s (N.D.) 73-70 road victory at Waldorf (Iowa). She also posted double figures with 16 points and added eight rebounds, despite a 74-70 defeat at Viterbo (Wis.). For the week, Kvilvang averaged 22.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. She also averaged 1.5 assists, 1.0 block and 1.0 steal per game. She was 21-of-33 from the field (63.6 percent) and made both free-throw attempts. DaSU also cruised past Presentation (S.D.) 84-36 on Feb. 5. Dakota State raised their overall record to 19-3.
