Firefighters quickly gained the upper hands. Investigators tell Eyewitness News the fire was the result after domestic dispute. Were toll nobody was injured. Two homes now destroyed after christmas night fire in delaware. Firefighters were called here to the 300 block of bay avenue just after 7 00 last night, officials believe a propane tank caused the fire, at least one person was hurt when she tried to run back into a home and fell. Fire remains under investigation. High winds whipped across the region Christmas Day leaving thousands to celebrate the holiday in the dark. This morning, peco still working to get folks back on line, take a look scene across our region, toppled trees being cradled by power lines. Most significant wind damage was seen in bucks, montgomery, chester counties at the height peco estimates more than 7,000 people were without power. This morning, that number down to about 450. Officials believe high wind were to blame for a fire at devon station, crews responded after platform roof caught fire. Strong winds blew pieces of the roof onto part of the track. Leading to delays on the line. The fire put out about 30 minute later. Police are trying to figure out what caused a deadly crash that killed two people in atlantic county. This happened on the black horse pike in Hamilton Township yesterday afternoon. Police say a woman crossed over the center line with her car and crashed head on with another vehicle. Another woman was driving that car, with her 85 year old father, and another man. The one man died at the scene. The drivers father, police say, died at the hospital. There is no word on either drivers condition. Blustery front hit much of the top half of the United States on christmas, several inches of snow fell in washington state, led to slick roads, numerous crashes in areas like kent. The National Weather service says heavy snow will continue to fall in the great lakes, rockies, and northeast during the last week of the year. And the windchill will continue to be a factor through friday with number of cities not rising above the freezing mark. I dont tell you last time i feel 40 plus below zero for wind chills values, even in canada, thats brutal. Looking at our local area, we stay pretty quiet the next couple every days, green light out there on the roads, really for any other travel you have coming up. But it will be cold outside. Thursday looks like the coldest, so that will be the day of all of them that you really want to spend the time making sure your car is warmed today at best, 34 degrees, but as i jump you here to the seven day, dont even hit freezing starting tomorrow for the rest of the forecast. So, that will lend itself for at least the opportunity of a little snow. Specifically friday, our next chance, and it is still a chance but pretty good chance for light snow. Saturday, also, bridges in the chance for snow with possibility after new storm system developing at that point, but stay tuned. Pat . Because this is live chopper three, over a water main break , in East Norriton this is frozen roadway, Germantown Pike at hillcrest, between hillcrest and stand bridge, it is closed, theyre working to clean this up. So a little bit slippery out there. So if you are coming through here, they have this roadway closed except for the far opposite lane, so tap the brakes coming through here. See the water pooling, still running through there, theyll work hard to get this clean up then if we take a look at the map of the water main, again, west german town pike between hillcrest and stand bridge, so lets hope they can get this clean up in the next couple of hours, but it is freezing on the roadway, thats never good take a look at 59 southbound near 452, we have disable vehicle, off to the shoulder.
