Thieves broke into Hodgson’s Pharmacy on South Milledge Avenue early Friday and stole opioids. The amount of drugs stolen had not been determined when police made the initial report, but a store employee described the theft as a “very large amount of hydrocodone and oxycodone pills.” Both are medications typically prescribed for pain. Police responded to the pharmacy about 2:35 a.m. to a burglar alarm and found the glass broken out of a back door, according to the report. The store’s surveillance video showed two men, both wearing dark clothing and gloves, break into the building. One man is seen breaking the glass from a corner of the door, then they crawl into the store in an apparent effort not to trip the motion alarm, police said. The men were in the store about 10 minutes before they fled, according to police.
