Ford Falcon ESP V8 built in Australia – which had just 60km on the clock and was kept by a Queensland dealership for almost 40 years – has been sold in as-new condition for $355,000 in a Grays Online auction overnight.

The vehicle was the
last Ford Falcon V8 to roll off the Broadmeadows production line in November 1982 and was fitted with a gold plaque documenting its historical significance.
At the time, many Ford fans feared the V8 era was over forever for the Blue Oval brand in Australia. However the V8 made a comeback in the Falcon in 1991.
