IOWA CITY, Iowa (Purdue Sports) — Despite a trio of players in double figures, the Purdue women's basketball team could not hold off a late charge by Iowa in the fourth quarter Monday afternoon, falling 87-81 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Madison Layden dropped a career-high 19 points on 6-of-7 shooting, all triples, matching the freshman record for 3-pointers in a game. The rookie dished out four assists, grabbed three rebounds and notched a pair of steals.
