The Devizes Area Board met this week to distribute a number of grants across the community, listed in full below. It was the last meeting for the current board ahead of May elections, and a chance to reflect on support offered during that time. There have been 22 meetings over the last four years, in which councillors and community representatives have brought forward the interests of the 33,000 people in the town and parishes. With an annual budget of £90,000, money has been spent across the region on maintaining community facilities, improving road networks and giving much-needed boosts to local groups and charities.
