(DHI Media/Jim Langham) ADAMS COUNTY – Several years ago, Adams County, Indiana officials were looking for an appropriate but unique way of memorializing famed author, Gene Stratton-Porter on the Adams County Courthouse lawn. An individual looking into the project had heard of a huge boulder in the St. Marys River near Willshire. An investigation into the origin of the rock indicated that it had originally ridden a large glacier from Michigan and dropped into the spot in the river.
