But I want to highlight one series of articles because I think the work illustrates the sort of accountability journalism you support when you subscribe to The Oregonian or OregonLive. Reporter Maxine Bernstein’s February 2020 examination of what happened to Michael Fesser at the hands of law enforcement was top-notch local reporting. Given the news this year, it would be easy for the Fesser story to fade into the background.
