Compiled by Adam Van Brimmer Botanical Gardens shines for holidays Thanks to the Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens staff and volunteers the holidays were brighter for over 6,000 families who enjoyed the drive-thru Holiday Show of beautiful lights. In addition, 2,000 free tickets were made available to military and first- responder families. The monumental task of designing, constructing and installing thousands of lights began last August when it was still unknown how they could be shared safely with the public. For 20 nights in November and December the “magic and awe of the season” was available to enjoy. Fortunately, the weather was fabulous with only two nights having to be cancelled due to inclement weather. Truly an example of making “lemonade from lemons” in such a year of uncertainty.
