The motorway is closed northbound between Junction 28 for Matlock and Junction 29 for Chesterfield and Mansfield following an accident involving a lorry and a car. Details of any injuries are not yet known, but the accident has caused long delays on the motorway. As well as a crash, there appears to have been a fuel spillage as well.
