The county board has hired a company to search for Marth’s replacement.Pramote Polyamate CARROLLTON — Greene County will not be without an engineer while the county seeks a replacement for longtime engineer David Marth, who has resigned. Marth’s resignation is effective Thursday. The county board has hired a company to search for Marth’s replacement but also has an agreement with Collinsville-based engineering company Volkert Inc. to oversee county projects in the meantime. Board President Mark Strang said the board entered into the agreement this week to make sure state requirements are met on a bridge replacement project that requires nearly weekly signatures from a licensed engineer.
