KABUL (Pajhwok): The United States has offered a $5 million reward for information about an American aid worker kidnapped in Afghanistan.
Cydney Mizell, an American humanitarian aid worker, was abducted along with her driver in southern Kandahar in January 2008.
On Wednesday, the State Department announced the reward for information regarding Mizell and her driver, who are believed to have been killed.
Mizell and her driver were likely killed by her captors in 2008. She is believed to have been buried in Kandahar or the surrounding area.
She taught English at Kandahar University and embroidery at a school for girls in the city. She helped Afghan women develop projects to generate income for their families.
