After almost two and a half hours waiting in his draft waiting suite, Mac Jones heard his name called by the team he was hoping would call it — the New England Patriots.
After speed-walking to the podium, and pausing for a long embrace with commissioner Roger Goodell, the Alabama quarterback did a TV interview with the NFL Network’s Melissa Stark and said this was the result he’d been hoping for.
