"It's flattering, a bit humbling even," he said. Mr Geiger said the festival would usually have international artists making the trek over, but because of COVID it was looking like a strong Australian line-up. Despite playing and performing music his whole life, Mr Geiger said it was only recently he began writing original songs. "As time goes on and you're performing other people's songs you get a feel for it and you start making your own memories," Mr Geiger said. "Maybe as you get older and you get wiser, it becomes more authentic," he said. Mr Geiger said he was excited to be able to focus solely on country music.
