Moller-Maersk A/S is considering a sale of its refrigerated container business as demand for the cold storage units surges during the Covid-19 pandemic, according to people familiar with the matter. The Danish shipping giant is working with an adviser on the proposed divestment of Maersk Container Industry, which could be valued at as much as $1 billion, the people said, asking not to be identified as the information is private. Maersk could reach out to suitors as soon as this month and the asset may draw interest from other shipping companies, as well as private equity firms, the people said.
