Major high street name eyeing up former BHS building A MAJOR high street name is currently eyeing up a vacant space in the city centre. A planning application has been submitted to transform the former BHS building on Sauchiehall Street into a new retail unit. The retailer, who has not revealed their identity in documents submitted to Glasgow City Council, is showing "concrete interest" in reopening the store. The planning documents read: “The tenant is a high quality and well-known high street retailer looking to occupy part of the overall property.” The bidders are planning to open from 6am until midnight seven days per week, with no explanation on what goods will be sold.
