The Wildlife and National Parks Department said today that Liang Liang safely delivered the cub yesterday at the Giant Panda Conservation Centre. The gender of the cub has yet to be identified. “At this time, the gender of the cub has not been identified as it is still under the care of its mother and we cannot come too close,” it said in a statement. Staff at the zoo would continue to monitor and supervise Liang Liang and the cub for the next 24 hours.
