Article content Junction Creek has been the butt of many a Sudbury joke, but during a recent paddle on a warm Saturday afternoon, I was stunned by just how beautiful the waterway is at its western reaches. Launching from Mud Lake amid a carpet of underwater weeds (resembling milfoil) the size of a football field, I set out for a little adventure on a most urban waterway. While the homes of Lively punctuated the left bank, the right was largely forested and a reminder of how close to nature we live in Greater Sudbury. We apologize, but this video has failed to load.
