A man, who pleaded guilty to attempting to smuggle cocaine into the United States, was on Wednesday given the option of paying a $20,000 or spending two years in prison.
Raymond Evans, 22, was traveling to Boston, Massachusetts, on May 23 when Customs and Border Patrol foiled his smuggling attempt.
The agents called police officers, who found a brick of cocaine taped to his back when they searched him.
Evans allegedly told officers that he had been recruited by a man that he only knew as “Rod”.
