Ann-marie Lawton, 29 and Ismail Qurba, 26, are charged with detaining the child under the Child Abduction Act 1984. Qurba, of Redland, appeared at Bristol Crown Court and with the assistance of an Arabic interpreter pleaded not guilty to abducting the child between December 15 and 18 last year.
