Man back in custody after allegedly assaulting jailer, escap

The Humboldt County Sheriff's Office said Lennox VanVacter, 30, was being escorted back to his cell along with a group of inmates around 1:20 p.m. Tuesday when he assaulted a jailer and removed her key fob. He fled the building on foot.
