A man was downloading indecent images on his computer as police arrived at his home to arrest him, a court heard. When police examined various digital devices belonging to Robert Lishman, they found a horrifying collection of more than 800 indecent images, including numerous pictures of children as young as two and three being sexually abused. At court, the 37-year-old defendant was given a suspended 14 month jail sentence after a judge heard he had sought help from a charity that helps people involved in - or at risk of involvement in - viewing online child abuse imagery. Lishman admitted a raft of indecent images offences: three counts of downloading such images between May 2019 and February of last year; four counts of possessing extreme pornographic images; and five counts of possessing prohibited images of children.
