Man charged in drunken driving crash that left 2 motorcyclists in a coma Updated Apr 29, 2021; Facebook Share SAGINAW, MI — A Birch Run man has been charged with two felonies 10 months after he allegedly caused a drunken-driving crash that put two people in comas. Just after midnight on July 18, Cole J. Severn was driving a 2005 Grand Prix on Bell Road near East Sloan Road in Taymouth Township when he tried making a turn, prosecutors said. Severn ended up crashing into a motorcycle with a male driver and female passenger, both 25. The woman suffered serious head injuries and was in a coma for an extended period of time, prosecutors said. They could not share her current status.
