Updated / Wednesday, 3 Feb 2021 05:58 Police in Northern Ireland have launched a murder investigation A murder investigation is under way following the death of a man in a shooting incident in north Belfast. Emergency services and police attended the scene of the incident in the Cliftonville Road area of the city this evening. Part of Cliftonville Road was closed and a number of diversions were put in place. Detective Chief Inspector Peter Montgomery said police were alerted to the shooting at around 8.15pm. He urged anyone who was in the area at the time or who may have information about the incident to come forward and assist police with their inquiries.
