A man in Connersville was rescued by law enforcement early Friday after having spent at least three days in the city's storm drain system in an attempt to avoid his probation officer. Connersville Police Department Officer Kyle Miller was conducting a building check at the FCN Bank on the corner of North Central Avenue and West 3rd Street near downtown Connersville about 2 a.m. when he heard a man crying for help, according to police. Miller followed the man's cries and eventually found a 35-year-old Connersville man in the city's drainage system below 3rd Street. Connersville Fire Department and emergency medical personnel responded and pulled the man through a manhole in the middle of the street.
