FIREFIGHTERS have pulled a man from the river Wye in Hereford before he was rushed to hospital. Paramedics, a doctor, fire and rescue service crews, and police officers descended on the Hampton Park Road area of Hereford shortly after 4.30pm on Thursday after the reports came in. West Midlands Ambulance Service said it was called at 4.41pm by the fire service to Outfall Works Road in Hereford, which runs close to the flooded river Wye, to reports of patient in the water. "An ambulance, a paramedic officer and a MARS (Mercia Accident Rescue Service) BASICS emergency doctor attended the scene," a spokesperson added.
