Chol Pael, 40, now of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was arrested in August after a person reported that Pael had assaulted them with a shovel. Pael had previously had an order for protection (OFP) ordered against him pertaining to the same victim. He was charged with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, domestic abuse consisting of knowingly violating an OFP while being in possession of a dangerous weapon and misdemeanor domestic assault.
