Man to spend up to 23 years in prison for Saginaw Township bank robbery Updated Jan 28, 2021; SAGINAW, MI — Robbing a Saginaw Township bank of less than $3,000 has bought a Saginaw man another prison term. Saginaw County Circuit Judge Andre R. Borrello on Wednesday, Jan. 27, sentenced 54-year-old George B. Moat III to 80 months to 23 years. Borrello gave Moat credit for 428 days already served in jail. The judge ordered Moat to pay $2,698 in restitution to PNC Bank. He also ordered him to pay $198 in fines and court costs. Moat declined to speak when Borrello offered him the chance. Moat in November pleaded guilty to one count of bank robbery, a life offense. Moat pleaded as a fourth-offense habitual offender.
