Man who left boy with brain injury after hit and run faces jail The 12-year-old victim now suffers from memory loss and cannot run | Photo: Lincolnshire Police A banned driver who seriously injured a 12-year-old boy while trying to evade pursuing police officers was told he faces a jail sentence. The boy suffered traumatic brain injury together with bruising to his lung and a fractured collar bone as a result of the incident on Sunday, May 2. He was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre at Nottingham where doctors placed him in an induced coma but his condition has since improved sufficiently for him to be discharged.
