Kip Leroy Johnson, 59, of Shelley, was ordered July 19 to spend between two to seven years in prison after pleading guilty to felony driving under the influence. The charge stems from a March 23 hit and run where Bonneville County Sheriff deputies struggled to get an intoxicated Johnson out of his pickup truck on Sunnyside Road. As part of a plea agreement made with Bonneville County prosecutors, misdemeanor charges of eluding and resulting arrest were dismissed.
