Manning Passing Academy returns to Thibodaux and makes econo

The annual Manning Passing Academy, underway this weekend at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, is about much more than football when it comes to its impact on the area. 
The focus of the camp on the field is to help nearly 1,500 high school athletes from around the country improve their games while being taught by Peyton and Eli Manning and some of the top college quarterbacks in the country.
But it also provides an influx of money to the area as well as national recognition to Nicholls and Thibodaux each year.  
The camp, which started Thursday and ends Sunday, is in its 16th year at Nicholls.
