Maratha quota: Mega survey with more than 1.25 lakh enumerators to begin on Tuesday

A mandatory survey involving more than 1.25 lakh enumerators and officials will begin on Tuesday across Maharashtra to support the state government's curative petition in the Supreme Court for Maratha quota. The survey, conducted by the revenue department for the Maharashtra State Commission for Backward Classes, will gather data in digital format for real-time monitoring. The committee led by retired judge Sandeep Shinde has already found 57 lakh records of OBCs in the state, including 1.50 lakh Kunbi caste certificates.
