Former Health Board emergency department chief Martin Kadai said the vaccination tempo could be accelerated by continuing to vaccinate as many people as possible with first injections. Minister of Health and Labour Tanel Kiik (Center) however does not support the idea. As of Tuesday, 46,740 Estonians have had their first vaccine injection, up from 36,897 the week before. This means just under 10,000 people received their first vaccine jab in the period of February 9-16. At the same time, there are currently 17,440 vaccine doses in Health Board storage and another 16,800 doses are set to arrive in Estonia this week, ETV's "Aktuaalne kaamera" reported on Tuesday.
