We’re told the number of new confirmed cases is currently 212.
In addition, the state’s 7-day positivity rate has matched its lowest level on record, dropping to 2.51%. It matches the level recorded on September 24, 2020.
The case rate per 100,000 has dropped to 6.65%, its lowest level since July 6, 2020. Officials say it has declined by 71.7% since mid-April. Hospitalizations are also down more than half since April 20th.
A total of 66.5% Maryland adults have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. This accounts for more than 5.5 million vaccines administered statewide.
