PRAYAGRAJ: Braving Covid fears, around 30 lakh pilgrims took a spiritual dip in Sangam to achieve divine salvation, amid tight security arrangements on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya during the ongoing Magh Mela in UP's Prayagraj on Thursday.
Lost in the teeming crowds, 1,500 people were reunited with their families by volunteers of Bhoole Bhatke Shivir and police.

Amid chants of ‘Jai Ganga Maiyya’ and ‘har har Gange’, the faithful started converging at Sangam — the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati rivers — since Wednesday night and the flow was unabated till 6pm on Thursday evening.
