COVID-19 by the numbers New Mexico health officials yesterday reported 1,275 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the statewide total so far to 122,557. The health department has designated 48,105 of those as recovered. Bernalillo County had 444 new cases, followed by Lea County with 123 and Sandoval County with 97. Santa Fe County had 40 new cases.The state also announced 28 additional deaths, including four from Santa Fe County. As of yesterday, 865 people were hospitalized in New Mexico with COVID-19. All 33 New Mexico counties will be re-evaluated today for test-positivity rates and case rates—the so-called red-to-green framework—to determine readiness for additional economic re-openings.
