(KAIT) - After serving the people of Jonesboro for decades, retiring Mayor Harold Perrin finally received the key to the city. The city council presented the key to Perrin during Tuesday night’s meeting. They also proclaimed Dec. 15 as “Harold Perrin Day.” Perrin, who has served as mayor for the past 12 years, chose not to seek re-election due to a health issue. Just last week he completed his last round of chemotherapy for bladder cancer.
