McDonaldâs Playland in Edwardsville is being demolished as part of a plan to remodel the fast-food restaurant. The restaurantâs exterior also is being upgraded and a double drive-thru is being added, Edwardsville Borough manager Cathy Soprano said. It is the latest McDonaldâs owned by Pat Stella to undergo renovations. McDonaldâs restaurants on Kidder Street and East Northampton Street in Wilkes-Barre and Route 315 in Pittston Twp. were previously renovated. McDonaldâs restaurant and Playland at 900 Wilkes-Barre Twp. Blvd. in Wilkes-Barre Twp., which is owned by Scott Kavlick, were torn down last year and a new restaurant with a double drive-thru and updated design replaced it.
