McLean County has reported 18,413 coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic. Two days before Illinois moves to lift nearly all COVID-19 restrictions, McLean County’s active coronavirus caseload dropped to its lowest level in 11 months. The McLean County Health Department (MCHD) reported 16 new coronavirus cases this week, while another 44 people have been released from their time in quarantine and are considered recovered since Friday. Thirty-four people are isolating at home and five McLean County residents are hospitalized with COVID-19. That’s down from six last week.
